In the Nude

So over the vacation, I had this fascination for nude pumps.
Luck was on my side. I was fortunate to have won a £100 Gift Voucher from Asos via Wantlet and Sweet of PensandLens (thank you, thank you, mwuaaah!). With that, I  searched Asos for that perfect pair of nude pumps.
Asos

I think I scanned through every shoe that they had and this was the only one that matched my preferences (and budget!). I'm not into sophisticated shoes - I go for the simple ones. Also, this is not what you'd normally consider nude since it's taupe. But I like it still!
The shoe has been delivered and I'm wondering when I'll get to wear it since it's about 5 inches high! I can't wear it for my corporate attire day in school since I'll be up and down flights of stairs. I might not only break my ankle if I get into an accident but might also break my neck!haha

I know not everyone adores pumps, much more, the nude ones, but I am currently loving this trend.
It makes your legs look longer, mind you (I consider myself to have 'short' legs).

I hope this doesn't go out of fashion for sometime because I still don't have an idea where and when I'll be wearing mine. I'm really excited to wear it though. I'll just wait for the timing.
And oh, I would definitely feel like I'm Toni Gonzaga if I'll wear this. :)

Anyone else who loves nude pumps? :P

thanksgiving and celebration

One always does everything to reach his goals in life. I for one have this goal which I have set my heart on. I encountered a LOT of problems along the way, and I continue to. I've been through failures and felt even more frustrations but I never surrendered. My heart and mind has been set. At this point, there's no stopping me. :)

Recently, I realized that getting to where I am right now wasn't that easy. It may have seemed simple but then, looking back, I think I experienced all struggles possible. I'm almost at the end of this chapter and a new one will unfold. For the meantime, I will relish every small victory and be thankful for every single blessing that comes my way.

So with that, I thank the Lord for another round of wonderful school year. I haven't gotten my grades yet, and I ain't confident, but that's not a reason to fret. I've also got friends who are graduating this month, so this calls for a thanksgiving... and a karaoke celebration! :)

 Here's for the "thanksgiving"

And say hello to the "celebration"
I loved my corset. It's an MTO (but an RTW when I bought it- they had my size) I found on Facebook.
I wore it on top of a Baclaran tee because I can't dare to bare so much skin, haha!
My silver Steve Madden matched Saxa's pink shoes. We called them the "princess-princess metallic shoes".
Yes, you say princess twice, for emphasis. Meaning, not real. haha wat evs!

We're not only friends, we're one big family!
aywabshu! and i'm gonna mishoo!

I already looked kinda weird by the end of the night. My face and body turned a bit red. Margarita! :p

It's gonna be my turn someday, and I'll have a lot lot more to celebrate and be thankful for!

carrie, josh, and matthew

Okay, so I was in a hurry to make last night's post, and I feel like I didn't do the lunch (and shoes!) justice. So here's a part II. Again, this is neither a fashion nor food blog. It's personal. At ganito kami sa personal. HA-HA!

We originally planned on going to Fort San Pedro and do something like we did last year and the other year. But things didn’t go as planned. Megs’ (yes, that’s m-e-g-s) aunt from Manila came and he had to be with her. J was depressed because of a news. K wasn’t able to charge the camera. D wanted to eat because she was very hungry. So we settled for late lunch. And so it was Josh and Matthew’s.

I once interned with the legal department for a non-government agency located at GMC Plaza, in front of Plaza Independencia. Josh and Matthew’s is located at the ground floor of that building, just beside the Friendly Care Clinic. And so there were times that I ate my lunches and snacks there. They serve sumptuous meals, in large servings. They also serve hot and cold coffee and chocolate drinks. After all, it’s name is Josh and Matthew, the Chocolate and Coffee Station.

yes, we had the entire place for ourselves!
(Clockwise) E posing, K hiding, D relaxing,
K looking like a print ad model, S (otherwise known as, myself), and D feeling the heat of the sun.

Even though K didn’t have her humongous (uhm, aka big bad blogger-type) camera, it was high time to try out E’s new Sony. (Pictures in this post were just resized though, so please don’t judge Sony by these.)

What’s funny about friends is that you have this level of wavelength that intertwine (wavelengths that intertwine, eh?) in a certain manner. Imagine, we are not the dress-to-kill type (save for Megs), nor the fashionista’s, and definitely not the high-heeled types. But there we were, wearing shoes that we would otherwise not wear to school (yes, we still go to school). It would attract attention (but, so what?), it would add unnecessary height (I’m not that tall, but my friends aren’t either, so that wouldn’t be too comfy if I stooped down just to talk with them), and most of all, I don’t drive my own car to school (which means that I still have to undergo the agony of commuting). But despite the circumstances surrounding the matter (experiment??), would you believe (-.-), we (3 out of 4) met up, all wearing *ehem* new *ehem* pumps.^^ Yes, and wala mi nagsabot!

I am not advertising nor selling this shoe but I got jittery when I saw that you can actually purchase this shoe HERE :)
