Meet me on Monday: My Boyfriend is Type B!

Ladies and gentlemen, once again, it's Monday and it's time for..

Meet me on Monday!

The Q's and my A's for the week:

1.  Caesar Salad or Garden Salad?
Caesar Salad.
I always order caesar's and not the garden salad and I don't know why. Limited menu, perhaps? :)

2.  Will you be watching the Royal Wedding on April 29th?

I'm not sure.
I'll be somewhere on the 29th. And since I'm on the Eastern Hemisphere, that would fall on the 30th. Uhm, I think so. Whutever.
HONESTLY, I am not that interested with the couple. I am only interested with the wedding details.

3.  Last thing you spent lots of money on?
Books.
Considering that I'm an unemployed post grad student [read: no source of income = no money], the last thing I spent lots of money on were thrift  finds. I recently bought "creativity" books (just this afternoon) and I don't really know if I will ever be able to use them. I just bought them. Because. :D

4.  Window seat or aisle seat?

Window seat.
Simple. I have motion sickness.
I need to see the view (or breath in fresh air) to keep me from getting nauseous.  I need to know where I am at that point in time and see that I am really moving rather than just feel it.
Yes, I am not the best travel buddy.

5.  Do you know your blood type?
Yes!
I'm a type B+.
So if ever (and I hope not!) I will be needing blood tranfusion, you'll know what type to give me. I think that blood type is common among Asians - at least that's what somebody told me.

By the way...
Have you seen the Korean movie My Boyfriend is Type B

No, I am not Korean, but I've seen it (thanks to subs!). I can't remember the details of the movie but all I can remember (and thanks to Google and Wiki) is that "the basic premise of the film comes from the Japanese blood type theory of personality, which claims that a person's blood type can determine their personality traits."

Here's the chart for blood types vis-à-vis personality trait, as seen here.

Japanese Blood Type Personality Chart
Type A

Worst Traits: Forgetful, changing ideas often, irresponsible, and self-centered.
Famous Bs: Akira Kurosawa, Jack Nicholson, Luciano Pavarotti, Tom Selleck, Mia Farrow, Paul McCartney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Vince Young
Type AB

I tell you, I am NOT SELF-CENTERED! haha :) Seriously. :P

Sunday is supposed to be a rest day, but I was super busy. Nothing much to share but this.

Check out my cousin Louie. She's 5 and very playful.
This was taken in the afternoon at my Aunt's backyard while my other cousin and my brother was playing basketball.

She can fly! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
It's Monday once again.

I'll be leaving for a 10-day trip sometime this and I can't wait! I hope everyone gets to have a terrific week ahead!

Love lots!

Soul

I felt bad about yesterday's post because I was implying that I was actually annoyed at my father. I messaged him (since he's at work) about the urban legend regarding his flour-as-remedy-for-burns belief and that he shouldn't be fooled by those circulating emails. His reply didn't mention anything about flour. He only said that I should make sure that the dog gets proper medical attention ASAP since I'll be on a vacation.

I want to make it up to him so I'm sharing with you something that he loves. He doesn't know this blog exists, but that doesn't mean I can't do something for him. I'll be breaking some laws here, but what the heck.haha!

My father is a music lover. Whenever he's on vacation (days off from work), he asks me to make him some mixes. [Maayu pa akong Tatay, ga mix mix!] This time, he went for a soul mix. And I'm sharing it with you. :)

dog burns

I am so annoyed and sad right now.

You see, last Monday, my father ran over one of our dogs. No, he wasn't on full speed. We were  just coming home from an out of town trip and our dogs were so excited that they all rushed to the car when they saw us.
our driveway
So we were on our way inside our driveway... My father drove really slow . We also saw the dogs coming. Our car isn't a lowrider but low enough that dogs can't pass through underneath. And then there were sounds coming from under the car so I told my father I had to get out.

I then saw Dseyebel howling and struggling to get out. I was in the verge of tears because I thought the was ran over by the tires. I just found out she was pregnant so I was really worried.

She finally made her way out, and I thanked God she was able to walk. But she sounded like she was crying and I noticed that she had burns.

Now here's the annoying part. My father said that I should put flour on the burnt part so I actually did it. That time, I didn't know it wasn't the right thing to do. Now that I know it was wrong, I am totally annoyed at what I did.

Our dog had been hiding from us so we were never able to treat  her. She's actually an askal, as we call it here, derived from asong kalye, which loosely translates to street dog. We adopted her ever since she started guarding our house when it was still under construction. We owe her a lot.

So tonight she came back and I saw her at our doorstep. The part where I placed flour was already fine (though I now think that wasn't because of the flour) but I saw that she had other burns. Worse is that her tummy was also burnt. :( How in the world would she be able to feed her puppies! The best thing to do is to bring her to the vet, but sadly, we don't have a vet for our dogs. :/ And we can't bring her to a vet anymore because we'd be leaving for a vacation. We can't let her take meds because she has puppies, and it's not advisable to give her some, right?

So what should I do? Sorry I didn't take pictures. Even if I had, I don't feel like posting them right now.

Did this ever happen to you? What did you do?
What am I supposed to do with 3-day old burns in a dog? Aside from going to the/calling a vet.

There's always that wacky pose!

You are probably wondering right now who/what Bas is and why we all heart Bas. :)

Photobucket

Today, while hopping from one blog to the next, I discovered an interesting beauty blog.

I actually chanced upon her from a meet-up post (which I also chanced upon care of tags from other bloggers) I read (somewhere- sorry forgot which one it was). I enjoyed their pictures and their ukay/thrift finds, I decided to check on each on each of them. Glad to have found Miss Cory Potts because she also has a giveaway!
I don't usually share giveaways on my posts but there are always exceptions! The first one was because I liked her username. This time (second, actually) is because I also like her username!

And what's interesting is that, to join, you'll have to answer one question:
"What does 'MissCoryPotts' mean?"

Click on banner to know more and join. The giveaway is also open internationally, so anyone can join!

Meet me on Monday. And Google me too!

Here's for another round of Meet me on Monday!

I am a bit late.. Monday is about to end. But still!

Here are these week's Q's and my A's:

1.  Who would be your dream celebrity date?
I actually have lots and I couldn't decide!

Ethan Hawke; George Clooney; Hugh Jackman; John Mayer, Robert Downey Jr; Jhonny Depp
So why is Robert Downey Jr. so young here? Chances Are!!
This is crazy because I was about 2 years old when the movie was out but I think my mother really loved it so much I saw the movie a million times. Back then we had a Betamax copy. I'm not sure if I saw this the first time when I was 2- all I know is that from then on, Robert Downey Jr. Eyes became the benchmark eyes for me.

I'd also like to date Barney Stinson himself.
Or Neil Patrick Harris, if gays count.

*edit*
hmm, I'd also like to date the following:
Ian Somerhalder
Ian Harding (we were born only days apart!)
Tyler Blackburn
andmanymore!haha!

2.  Do you have any food restrictions?

None.
I used to be lactose intolerant, but lately, I realized that milk doesn't have that old effect on me anymore. Maybe I was just imagining it!

3.  How much time do you take to get ready in the morning?

It depends..
But I think the question isn't really applicable to me because when I wake up at around 9 or 10 am, I just get out of bed, and that's it. I don't usually leave the house until the afternoon.
But if I really need to leave in the morning, give me at least an hour!

4.  Sausage or bacon?

Bacon.
Just, bacon.

5.  Do you Google, Bing or Yahoo?

I Google.
I Google everything.
Everyone Googles.
In fact, GOOGLE is a verb!

Bing is only for Bella Swan.
I don't like the Yahoo search engine anymore.

That's it!

In addition to the last question, here's my "What I Google" list:
Spelling
Word meaning
Abstract images
Song Lyrics
TV Series episode guides
Movie titles + it's actor/actresses + character names
Current events
Jurisprudence
Recipes, Home Remedies, Crafts
Book/Movie reviews

I had to make this list for something so I'm sharing it with you. For other things, they're actually bookmarked so I don't Google them anymore. I Google jurisprudence because I'm too lazy to do a proper search.
By the way, I also constantly Google my name. It's fun! haha!

Mañanita

Have you ever been to a Mañanita?
I have.
But do you know what it actually means?
  I don't.

Not until I actually Googled it.
It means little morning. And Las Mañanitas is a birthday song.
So now I get it.

It was my grandmother's birthday. We all woke up at dawn and met up outside her house. We then sang the Mañanita Song while holding a candle (and the birthday banner).

It was 4am so my Grandma had no chance to change. I bet she didn't even wash her face! haha

And we also brought breakfast!

Bread, cakes, and coffee! It was a surprise, so we had to bring our own.

We also had a brief karaoke session right after.

But of course, some relatives had to go to work, and for bummers like me, we had to go back to sleep.
But we continued with the fun that night. Only that, I ended up watching over some kid cousins.

And they were wild!

So I sneaked inside my Grandma's room and slept. :) And that's it.

Happy birthday Lola! May you have more and more birthdays to come.
